Help: Organisation Fields

Chances are you want to record information about your members. To do so, you need to create organisation fields.

Managing Organisation Fields

Click on Settings -> Organisation Fields. This displays a list of all the fields for your organisation.

Creating a new Organisation Field

Click on New Organisation Field.

  1. Select a field type. The options are:
    • Address - Physical or postal address
    • Boolean - True or false
    • Check - Yes or No
    • Date - a date
    • Decimal - a number with a decimal point
    • Email Address
    • Gender
    • Integer - a whole number
    • Multiline Text - multiple lines of text
    • Phone Number
    • Select - select one item from a picklist that you define
    • Text - one line of text
  2. Give your field a unique name
  3. Enter a description - to help you understand what it is to be used for
  4. Required - currently has no effect
  5. Multivalued - currently has no effect
  6. Searchable - ticking this causes the field to be displayed and searchable when checking in users
  7. Click on Create Organisation Field

Update an Organisation Field

You can change the name of an organisation field if required. It must be unique for your organisation though. You cannot change the type.

Delete an Organisation Field

You can delete an Organisation Field if it has not been used. (i.e. No members have been assigned a value for this field)
